Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, a leading full-service family sports bar that provides gourmet takes on game day favorites, announced the opening of its newest restaurant located at 3165 Regent Blvd.—marking the brand’s milestone 25th location. Opening on January 21, Irving residents will have a go-to community restaurant that embodies the go-getter spirit of a walk-on athlete while providing superior service and mouthwatering All-American menu items with a taste of Louisiana.

In celebration of the grand opening, Walk-On’s will open its doors at 11:00 a.m. where the first 100 customers will receive a free t-shirt, in addition to being exclusively entered to win 1 of 5 free Walk-On’s for a year. The new restaurant will also be giving away gift cards, Walk-On’s swag, and more. Visit the restaurant and follow Walk-On’s Las Colinas Facebook page to learn how to enter for the chance to win these great prizes.

The new restaurant will be locally owned and operated by Johnny Qubty and Joshua Allen. This will mark their third Walk-On’s location with one other in Waco and their original in Lubbock—the first to debut in Texas. After retiring from nearly three decades in the medical world, Qubty was looking for a change. He teamed up with Allen, an accountant by trade, and together the Texas natives began embarking on various business ventures which has led to their multi-unit success with Walk-On’s.

“It is truly an exciting opportunity to introduce a new dining destination to the community and we are eager to serve up our incredible, made from scratch food that will show our guests what true Louisiana cuisine is all about,” said proud franchise owner, Qubty. “Walk-On’s is unlike anything in the area and we can’t wait to celebrate with our grand opening. It’s our mission to deliver a remarkable dining experience to every guest who walks through our doors while pleasing pallets with our mouthwatering dishes,” adds Allen.

Walk-On’s diverse menu has offerings ranging from unique twists on game day staples—such as a Smoked Gouda Turkey Burger, Boom Boom Shrimp Poyboy, and Cajundillas, to upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays – such as Crawfish Etou-Ways, Mardi Gras Mahi, and Duck and Andouille Gumbo. Its innovative menu provides vast and flavorful dishes for every guest.

Whether it be for date night, a drink, girl’s night out or a family dinner, Walk-On’s is the place for everyone—because everyone needs a little playing time. Dishes are made from scratch using fresh ingredients to bring its savory cuisine to life. Its game day atmosphere paired with a true southern hospitality makes it a perfect dining destination for everyone. As stated by co-owner and NFL superstar Drew Brees, Walk-On’s is “a great place to bring my family, teammates and business colleagues,” and we’re excited to help “expand the brand across the nation.” Today, with over 100 locations in development across 15 states, the brand is on track for strategic franchise expansion nationwide.

“We’re elated to bring the Irving area a Walk-On’s to call their own as people continue to seek out more convenient, casual dining options with a unique ambiance, innovative menu options and unbeatable hospitality,” says Walk-On’s Founder, Brandon Landry. “Our Walk-On’s team could not be more pleased to grow with wonderful franchisees like Johnny and Joshua as we expand to 25 locations and beyond. I look forward to witnessing how the community reacts to our arrival and hope that everyone enjoys themselves.”

The Irving restaurant will employ up to 250 people who will join the Walk-On’s All-American team.
