The Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) is now accepting nominations for the seventh Jackie B. Trujillo Outstanding SOAR Award, sponsored by YUM! Brands. This prestigious award, which stands for Standard-Setters for Opportunity, Advancement and Recognition of women, annually honors one foodservice company that is dedicated to attracting, educating and promoting women to the highest positions in the organization. Past recipients include Darden, Kraft Foods, Sodexo, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and General Mills.

“Being nominated for the SOAR award is itself a testament to an organization’s progress toward diversity and gender parity,” says WFF president and CEO Fritzi Woods. “This prestigious award is a mark of distinction for those who show dedication to our mission.”

Eligible organizations must be part of the foodservice industry and have at least 250 U.S.-based employees. Nominees will be evaluated on successful implementation of programs and initiatives that strive to give women full and equal opportunity for advancement. Organizations will be expected to provide verifiable results.

Nomination information and criteria can be found here. Completed nominations must be submitted by January 25, 2013 and can be emailed to awards@wff.org or faxed to 972.770.9150, marked Attention: Awards. This year’s SOAR award will be presented at the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference April 14 to 17 in Orlando, Florida.
