Preston's Steakhouse Opens in Scottsdale, Arizona
Preston’s Steakhouse, the latest offering from Chef Charles Schwerd, opened in north Scottsdale, Arizona’s Pinnacle Peak district.
Preston’s aims to offer an upscale yet unpretentious, local experience at a more attractive price point than some chains.
The menu focuses on traditional steakhouse classics and Chef surprises. Premium cuts of meat aged to perfection, fresh seafood served mercury-free, and locally sourced ingredients are the foundation of a rich and flavorful menu.
Chef Schwerd hails from a proud lineage of butchers and meat packers. This heritage, paired with his own celebrated culinary background, inform every aspect of the Preston’s experience, elevating it above the typical steakhouse.
Guests may opt to have a cut dry-aged for up to 120 days in advance. Chef Schwerd personally selects each cut for color, marbling, and texture.
Dry aging occurs on-site under carefully regulated conditions of temperature, humidity, and air circulation. Guests may visit the restaurant and view their beef in the dry-aging cooler. Once properly aged, butchering and trimming is completed for final preparation.
Preston’s bar is open for happy hour daily, and guests can enjoy unlimited free Preston’s Pepperoni Sticks handcrafted per the family recipe, which was developed by Chef Schwerd’s grandfather, Preston.
The coming months will also see a number of additional offerings at Preston’s. Upstairs at Preston’s, a dynamic bar and lounge for more casual dining, will offer outdoor patio seating with panoramic Pinnacle Peak views.
Preston’s Heritage Club, a members-only monthly dinner, will offer limited-seating culinary events featuring specially prepared menus of seasonal items and unique dishes designed by Chef Schwerd. Members will also enjoy wine tasting events with compelling selections by Certified Sommelier Roman Kettler.
