The Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) announced that Kraft Foods Group is the recipient of the SOAR Award.

The prestigious SOAR Award sponsored by Yum! Brands, stands for Standard-Setters for Opportunity, Advancement, and Recognition of women, and annually honors one foodservice company that is supremely dedicated to attracting, educating, and promoting women to the highest positions in the organization.

The award was presented during the 2015 Leadership Conference in Orlando on March 9 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

“Kraft epitomizes an organization that ‘walks the talk.’ Its record of representation of women at all levels of the workforce is something to be admired and emulated,” says Hattie Hill, WFF president and CEO. "This award is a mark of distinction to a company who lives the WFF mission of advancing women leaders.”

“Kraft is committed to having a diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace where employees can meet their professional and personal aspirations," says Fred Paglia, president, Kraft Foodservice NA and U.S. Growth Channels, Kraft Foods Group, and WFF Board Member. “We are honored to support the work of WFF, a dynamic, passionate organization committed to gender diversity and inclusion.”

Named after a founding member of the WFF and a true pioneer in the foodservice industry, Jackie B.Trujillo rose from a car-hop to the Chairman of the Board of the largest KFC franchise in history. She not only spurred women leaders forward in her organization, but opened doors for more women to be elevated in the foodservice industry. The SOAR award is the highest honor an organization can receive from the WFF.
