Richard Sandoval and Los Cabos are partnering up this fall.

Los Cabos, Mexico's premier culinary travel destination, announced today plans for Richard Sandoval, chef and restaurateur of more than 35 restaurants worldwide, to act as the culinary ambassador for the destination from Sept. 15 to Dec. 31 through a partnership inked between the Los Cabos Tourism Board and Richard Sandoval Restaurant Group.

As part of this agreement, Richard Sandoval's Zengo restaurants in New York City, Santa Monica, Denver, and Washington, D.C., will have a special menu inspired by the flavors of Los Cabos, which has been coined "A Taste of Cabo."

The special menu will feature four dishes inspired by some of Los Cabos' top chefs including Esperanza, an Auberge Resort's Executive Chef Gonzalo Cerda, One&Only Palmilla's Chef Larbi Dahrauch, Las Ventanas al Paraiso's Executive Chef Fabrice Guisset, and The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort's Chef Raul Che.

Diners in each of these restaurants will not only be invited to take a bite out of what Los Cabos' culinary scene has to offer by ordering from this special menu but will also have the chance to enter to win a trip to Los Cabos via Instagram for the 9th Annual "Sabor a Cabo" food and wine festival which Chef Sandoval himself will also be making a guest appearance later this year.

"We are very excited to have a celebrated and influential chef like Richard Sandoval act as the Culinary Ambassador for Los Cabos," says Eduardo Segura, managing director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. "It is through great partnerships like this that we are able to spread awareness of the destination's growing culinary scene to consumers in the US."

"Teaming up with the talented chefs in Los Cabos was a culinary match-up for the ages," Sandoval says. "The final products represent the culinary culture and talented chefs of a region of Mexico that has always been an inspiration for many of my dishes. The collaboration between my team and the Los Cabos team resulted in a menu full of imagination, flavor, beauty and tradition.

Specialty dishes inspired by the Los Cabos chefs include a wonderful selection of seafood including Sea Bass Tiradito (inspired by Chef Gonzalo Cerda, Esperanza, an Auberge Resort), Pan Seared Sea Scallops (inspired by Chef Raul Che of Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort), Octopus Carnitas "Bibimbap" (Inspired by Chef Fabrice of Las Ventanas), al Paraiso, and Chocolate Clam Ceviche (inspired by Chef Larbi of One&Only Palmilla).

As part of this collaboration, all four participating Zengo locations will have Los Cabos-branded signage and check presenters. Additionally there will be a steaming destination video in-restaurant for the duration of the program in New York City, Santa Monica, and Washington, D.C.

The social media campaign portion of the partnership officially launched on Sept. 15 at all four Zengo locations. The contest will invite restaurant guests to enter by following @LosCabosTourism on Instagram, snapping a photo of their meal at Zengo and posting the picture using the hashtag #TasteOfCabo. Submissions will be accepted through Oct. 27 and a winner will be selected and announced on Oct. 28.
