Bob Evans put its partnership with Ohio State University football coach Urban Meyer on hold Thursday, the company announced on social media. Just this past Monday, the Ohio-based family-dining chain announced an arrangement that named Meyer “Head Breakfast Coach,” which was the basis of a series of TV, radio, in-store, and digital ads set to run for the company. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the news broke so quickly Bob Evans didn’t even have to time to put the signs of Meyer up in its restaurants.

Bob Evans said in a statement: “At Bob Evans, we believe strongly in the family first values upon which the company was founded. Bob Evans Restaurants is suspending the current partnership with Urban Meyer and removing all related content pending the results of the official Ohio State University investigation.”

Meyer is being investigated by the university in the wake of a story from Brett McMurphy about the alleged domestic violence of recently fired Ohio State assistant coach Zack Smith. Smith’s wife, Courtney Smith, said Ohio State’s coaches were aware of Smith’s abuse, including Meyer. Meyer denied he had any prior knowledge of Smith’s actions the week before at a Big Ten media appearance. Ohio State placed Meyer on paid administrative leave as it looks into the incident.
