Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) welcomed Steve Weis of Powell, Ohio, as CMR’s director of development.

The veteran restaurant executive joins CMR with more than 30 years of experience working with national corporations and restaurant brands.

“Our company has an aggressive growth strategy planned for years to come, and we’re very excited about our future and how Steve will be able to help us achieve our goals,” says David Miller, executive vice president of CMR. “Steve’s experience, coupled with his proven ability to plan, implement, and oversee development strategies, is exactly what we need as we expand our brand coast-to-coast.”

Weis will be responsible for providing strategic direction on development in expanding the multiple brands CMR manages.

“I am thrilled to take on my new role with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants,” Weis says. “There are many incredible developments on the horizon, and I’m excited to help grow CMR to make it one of the most successful restaurant companies in the nation.”

Weis most recently served as president of Max & Erma’s. Prior to Max & Erma’s, Weis was regional vice president at Thomas & King, one of the nation’s largest Applebee’s franchises.

Weis earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in public communication from American University in 1987. He resides in Powell with his wife and their two children.
