The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. announced today that it is actively seeking franchisees to bring its interactive dining experience to Calgary, Canada, naming the city as a target for future franchise development.

To support this initiative, The Melting Pot will be exhibiting at the National Franchise & Business Opportunities Expo, booth No. 105, Sept. 20-21, at the Telus Convention Centre.

The U.S.-based brand aims to develop one restaurant in Calgary and one restaurant in Banff and is offering single- and multi-unit franchise opportunities.

Additionally, the company is looking to recruit qualified new franchisees in other Canadian cities, including Vancouver and the greater Toronto area. There is one Canadian Melting Pot restaurant in Edmonton, Canada, which opened in 2010.

"The Melting Pot concept is backed by 30 years of experience in franchising and nearly 40 years of brand recognition, making this an ideal business opportunity for entrepreneurs," says Dan Stone , vice president of franchise development for Front Burner Brands. "Since the brand has been well-received in Edmonton, we see tremendous growth potential for The Melting Pot in Calgary. We look forward to connecting with potential franchisees at the event and highlighting the many benefits of investing in our unique dining concept."

The Melting Pot operates 135 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and has more than 25 locations in development internationally.
