Lane Cardwell, the former president of P.F. Chang’s, and former president and CEO of Boston Market and Eatzi’s Market and Bakery, has joined Dallas-based Falcon Realty Advisors as a director of its Restaurant and Entertainment group. He will advise the commercial real estate firm’s clients on their strategic positioning and concept branding. During his time at Brinker International, which is a joint venture of Eatzi’s Market and Bakery along with Phil Romano, he also served as chief administrative officer and as a member of the board.

“There’s hardly anyone in the industry with more experience and expertise than Lane Cardwell,” says Tim Hughes, president and CEO of Falcon Realty Advisors, a privately held commercial real estate company specializing in tenant representation exclusively for retail, restaurant, and entertainment industry clients. “He’s going to be a tremendous asset to the companies that Falcon works with, particularly the emerging brands that are new to the market.”

In addition to his role at Falcon, Cardwell will continue to advise on positioning and branding strategies through his firm Cardwell Hospitality Advisory. “I look forward to sharing the lessons that I have learned from leadership positions with 43 restaurant concepts with the restaurant clients of Falcon. Protecting good brands with a sound brand development strategy is our primary goal,” Cardwell says.
