The Grilled Oyster Company, a seasonally inspired seafood concept with locations in Washington, D.C., at Cathedral Commons and Potomac, Maryland, at Cabin John Mall, adds fall flavors to its menus as it refreshes offerings to reflect the season. Fans of the current choices will recognize some of their favorite signature oyster preparations alongside new seafood dishes, all backed by Grilled Oyster Company’s emphasis on sourcing locally and working to maintain a balanced ecosystem.

Diners can explore new starters and main plates, featuring seasonal ingredients woven together with breezy seafood. New to the menu are several grilled oyster varieties made with Barren Island oysters from Hoopers Island, Maryland, including fall harvest grilled oysters topped with roasted turnips, carrots, radishes, and a mild guajillo salsa, and farmer’s grilled oysters with roasted beets, rutabaga, sweet potato, and celery cream. Other flavorful additions include a lobster tartare with lobster served over orange sticky rice, avocado, sesame tamari sauce, and Old Bay sriracha aioli, a hearty shrimp ratatouille stew with squash, eggplant, and white beans, and a fall kale & quinoa salad with springy kale, roasted sweet potato, dried cherries, toasted almonds, and a lemon-garlic Dijon vinaigrette.

New entree plates include pan-roasted Chesapeake rockfish with sautéed kale, bacon, roasted sweet potato, and almond brown butter, as well as seared sea scallops with creamy shitake and Portobello mushroom risotto and Romesco sauce.

The Grilled Oyster Company carries its commitment to carefully crafted food and beverages through its new menu choices, while ensuring certain menu favorites remain available. Familiar plates like Grilled Oyster Company’s duck tacos, fried Ipswich clams with dill tartar sauce, and Chesapeake cioppino loaded with grilled shrimp, mussels, rockfish, clams, and corn will still be available on the fall menu. Popular weekday dinner specials can be enjoyed Mondays through Wednesdays, with a $20 Maine lobster, draft beer, and grilled corn special available Mondays, $1 raw oysters on Tuesdays, and half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays.
