Buffalo Wild Wings has expanded to Canada. The first location has opened in Oshawa, Ontario.

“We are very excited to have this first international location open and are ready to serve our Canadian fans,” says Sally Smith, Buffalo Wild Wings president and CEO.

“We’ve known for some time that Canadians were looking for an offering like ours as it is truly unique to what’s currently available. We’re also thrilled to announce that our expansion plans are on track and we have recently signed four additional leases in Ontario including London, Newmarket, Mississauga and Guelph.”

As a special incentive for grand opening day, Buffalo Wild Wings (or B-Dubs, as it’s been affectionately named by loyal wing fans) is offering its first 100 patrons at the new Oshawa location a grand opening gift of free wings for one year. Consumer are expected to line up early for their chance to win one of the coveted coupon books offering ten free wings per week for a year.

“We have the highest-quality Buffalo, New York-style chicken wings available in 15 Buffalo Wild Wings signature sauces ranging from Sweet BBQ to Blazin’, including a variety of exotic sauces like Caribbean jerk and Mango Habanero, as well as a variety of dry wing seasonings. Wing lovers could sample all of our great flavors with this tasty gift,” says Smith. “We’re also excited to be offering a tangy honey garlic sauce in our Canadian restaurants; a first for the company.”

The restaurant offers an unparalleled mix of ‘Wings. Beer. Sports.’ With 50 large high definition televisions and eight giant screens around each restaurant, it is the ultimate destination to watch the game.

The neighborhood atmosphere invites friends to pull tables together and spend an evening with sharable menu items including mini slammers (burgers), appetizers and wild flatbreads and a choice of over thirty beers including Keith’s, Canadian and Mill Street and 20 bar taps. Just in time for summer, the new location also boasts a full-sized patio.

The new location will also be an active member of the Oshawa community, bringing over 115 jobs to the area and sponsoring local Oshawa sports teams.

Buffalo Wild Wings has a goal of opening 50 company-owned and franchised restaurants across Canada in the next five years creating approximately 3,500 jobs in the country.
