HotSchedules Wins Foodable's 2015 Editors' Choice Award for Advanced Back Office Software

June 23, 2016 Industry News

HotSchedules, a leading provider of mobile technology for the restaurant and hospitality industries, won Foodable’s 2015 Editors’ Choice Award for advanced back office software. Foodable is a Web TV Network for the restaurant and hospitality industries, covering topics like technology and social media, as well as news and trends impacting the foodservice business.

Foodable’s Annual Technology Guide, the first-ever tech guide for the foodservice industry, features the top 25 technologies in six different categories: guest-facing technology, back-office software, POS systems, online services–reservations, digital display, and mobile apps and social media.

HotSchedules restaurant management platform was a clear winner in the back office category, offering mobile, cloud-based technologies that helps operators automate timely and often challenging processes, like employee recruiting, training and scheduling, and inventory management. As the editor’s choice, HotSchedules outpaced CrunchTime!, MonkeyMedia Software, Market Force, and Olo ordering software in terms of ease of use, ease of development, and overall innovation.

Restaurants have been focused on tackling their guest-facing technology, often overlooking the efficiencies that stand to be gained through improvements in operations-based technologies. With restaurant managers spending over 50 hours a week at work, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it was only a matter of time before restaurants adopted technology to better serve employees in order to stay competitive.

Foodable’s guide cited several key benefits including, how:

·       HotSchedules saves operators time when managing schedules.

·       HotSchedules Recruit expedites the hiring process by allowing existing employees to chime in and make referrals based on who would fit in company-culture-wise.

·       HotSchedules Train powered by Schoox includes easy tracking for management and has communication tools in case a new hire has questions or if managers want to provide feedback.

The guide also pointed to HotSchedules inventory, analytics, management, and back-office solutions as key differentiators in the back office category.

“It’s an honor to receive this award from Foodable and the esteemed group of individuals who helped rank HotSchedules and our suite of solutions. We were the first to transform the online scheduling space for restaurants and are proud to be driving that same innovation for the entire back office systems of a restaurant,” says Anthony Lye, CEO of HotSchedules.
