Fortune Fish & Gourmet announced the addition of Jeff Goldberg, a 28-year veteran of the seafood industry, as president of Fortune Imports, a Global Procurement Subsidiary of Fortune Fish & Gourmet. Fortune Imports will be located at Fortune Fish & Gourmet’s corporate headquarters in Bensenville, Illinois.

As president of Fortune Imports, Goldberg will be leading this new subsidiary and focusing on expanding Fortune’s current direct import program. Expansion will come through his experience in strategic sourcing, focusing on Fortune’s key principles of ethical, sustainable, high-quality products. In 1988, Goldberg began his career at Landlock Seafood in Carrollton, Texas. Four years later, he then moved into a logistics and sales position at Mazzetta. During his tenure at Mazzetta, Goldberg moved into global shrimp procurement, while still holding his sales position. Goldberg brings 28 years of seafood experience to Fortune and a strong background in sales and global procurement.

Sean J. O’Scannlain, Fortune’s president and CEO, says, “In an increasingly competitive world, our sourcing needs to be as stream-lined as possible. With Jeff as President of Fortune Imports, I am confident in our ability to reach our goals.”

“I am excited to start the next phase of my career with the incredibly talented team at Fortune.  The opportunity to take their import program to the next level was something I couldn’t pass up,” Goldberg adds.
