Studio Movie Grill Continues Movie Modernization
Bringing further expansion to hometown fans Studio Movie Grill's (SMG) newest flagship is about to open its doors at Northwest Highway @ 35 just in time for all the holiday blockbusters and as part of a strategic expansion plan for the Dallas-based exhibitor. SMG Northwest Highway @ 35 marks Studio Movie Grill's 14th location to date and eighth in Texas.
"With our loyal and rapidly growing audience, we are excited to open our sixth DFW theater at Northwest Highway & 35 and help reinvigorate the area as we continue to expand our footprint. Offering more than movies, we will be introducing full-service dining options in the main lobby to offer a true marriage of hospitality and lounge experiences as we continue to innovate new ideas into our concept. Alternate programming and events will continue be a major focus alongside first-run movies because we appreciate consumers today are looking for unique ways to get more from their entertainment experiences," says Brian Schultz, Studio Movie Grill owner and CEO.
Studio Movie Grill proudly supports local initiatives through community outreach and will offer its SMG Special Needs Series for families raising children with special needs. These screenings offer first-run family movies free to children with special needs and their siblings. Additionally, SMG with A Twist provides affordable alternate and family programming including documentaries, "SMG Toons," concert films, sports, and special advanced promotional screenings plus themed monthly film series such as "Girls Night Out", and "Brews & Views." This unique and distinct programming supports education initiatives, artistic creation and public awareness in SMG neighborhoods.
"We are excited about Studio Movie Grill adding a third location in the City of Dallas," mayor Mike Rawlings says. "This new theater will help revitalize the area surrounding Northwest Highway and I-35 and represents a significant economic impact."
SMG Northwest Highway @ 35 will offer a true stadium experience combined with SMG signature chairs and in-theater dining service with convenient 100 percent reserved seating. Once inside, patrons will enjoy modern comfort. At the push of a button, guests will experience Studio Movie Grill's distinct kitchen-to-chair delivery and a skilled team trained to serve without compromising the view.
"Come early, stay late...with 100 percent reserved seating, patrons can enjoy themselves both in the theater or lingering at the bar before or after their movie, and never feel hurried to get to their seat. Providing a no-rush feeling is important. We invite our new community to experience what many of our current fans have come to expect and what sets us apart from our competition when we open our doors in November," says Schultz, who has spent the last 20 years refining the in-theater dining concept.
With an ever-evolving dining menu, Studio Movie Grill has upped the ante on what to expect from theater food. SMG's new menu roll out features eclectic and varied offerings including Edamame, Ceviche Lettuce Wraps, and Blackened Chicken Salad as well as house favorites such as Coconut Chicken, Gouda Bacon Burger, and Artisan Pizzas. In-theater or at the bar, guests can enjoy premium drinks including signature SMG Cellars wines from Central California and a tempting array of creative cocktails including the popular Texas Frozen Margarita and signature Studio Blue Grande Margarita alongside perennial favorites such as the New York Cosmo and craft beers.
