Kid Judges Select Winners of Kids Recipe Challenge in Baltimore April 27

National Restaurant Association Announces 2013 Operator Innovations Awards Finalists

An independent panel of foodservice operators from the across the industry has selected the finalists for the 2013 Operator Innovations Awards. Three finalists in each of five categories: Food Safety, Health and Nutrition, Menu Development, Sustainability and Technology will be brought to Chicago for the 2013 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show this May.

NRA: Proposal Creates Unlevel Playing Field Between Restaurants and Grocery Stores

In a letter to lawmakers March 21, the National Restaurant Association and several restaurant companies said that H.R. 1249 would create an unlevel playing field between restaurants and other entities that serve restaurant food, such as chain grocery and convenience stores, by exempting those stores from providing uniform nutrition information to customers.
