Heartland Signs Lease for State-of-the-Art Texas Office
Heartland Payment Systems, the fifth largest payment processor in the United States and a leading provider of merchant business solutions, is continuing its growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, signing a lease to occupy three floors and 81,675 square feet of new office space in the recently-completed Granite Park IV office tower.
The agreement makes Heartland the building’s largest signed tenant.
Heartland Payment Systems’ move into the new space will consolidate two existing facilities and support the company’s plans for long term expansion. More than 375 employees will be working in the new office, which will support additional growth and function primarily as corporate IT headquarters.
Employees from finance, national sales, account management, and product management will also be located at the Plano, Texas, office.
“Providing our employees with a state-of-the-art facility paired with excellent amenities is part of our vision to help Heartland continue to attract and retain top talent,” says Bryan Thompson, Heartland Payment Systems chief technology officer. “We are very excited to move into Granite Park IV.”
The location was chosen for its status as a key commerce hub and proximity to major business partners and Fortune 1000 headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Scheduled for December 2014, the move comes at the same time Heartland will open its brand new sales headquarters in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Completed this month, Granite Park IV is the newest office tower at Granite Park, located at Sam Rayburn Tollway (S.H. 121) and the Dallas North Tollway in Plano. The 12-story, 306,000-square-foot Class-A property is slated to achieve LEED Silver certification and features energy efficient building systems, exterior lighting elements, a fitness center, conference space, and a five-level garage.
The ground floor offers a corporate living room environment with a coffee shop style lounge area. Granite Park IV will be surrounded by extensive landscaped walkways and water features connecting it to the adjacent properties in the park.
“Customers are excited to be a part of all that’s happening in Plano,” says Greg Fuller, Granite Properties chief operating officer. “With Heartland coming to Granite Park IV, we’re now 60 percent leased, and negotiations are underway with other prospects.”
